Here is the very big problem that you face: ANY lead you get from someone is a lead that someone has already milked. He is merely trying to get additional money from you by “selling” you the lead that is all but dead (which is why he’s finally selling it.) I saw a commercial on the super bowl yesterday for a website that offers such leads . . . that many people following those leads and the “leads” themselves will get a different phone #. You really must scare them up on your own–and guard them as trade secrets.
Check out the article on getting leads below. You have to be careful with leads. There are good ones, and then there are junk leads. Some vendors will sell you leads that have simply been gathered online. When you contact these leads you are spamming them. Worse, they won’t join your company and you’ll spend a lot.
You may consider generating your own leads with a funded poposal.
